Stop Focusing On Weight
- Adina O'Neill
A plea to women everywhere…
Stop putting so much emphasis on your weight and size. The more you focus on it the more it defines you and causes stress.
I have struggled with my weight my ENTIRE life and am working very hard to heal from the trauma of people drawing attention to the size of my body and the need to make it smaller.
Since I’m not one to highlight a problem without suggesting a solution, one thing that has helped me is focusing on what brings me joy.
2 weeks ago I got to swim 25m fly in a pool cut out of a frozen lake in VT. I was called fierce and congratulated for my effort and attitude.
This is how we should talk to each other.
